Youth And Children - Holiday Club

Operated annually since the late 1990s, St Martin's Holiday Club is held for a week during the school summer holidays. The Club is for children from ages 7 to 11 and operates Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Activities take place in the Church, the Church Hall and the Churchyard, with a celebration Mass on the Sunday morning at the end of the week.

We provide a church-based club run entirely by volunteers from the parish community with drama, teaching, singing, cooking and a wide range of crafts and activities for children to take part in.

Helping with the club is both enjoyable and rewarding, and the primary requirements for any helper are enthusiasm and a wish to spend some time with our young people. Everything else is provided.

There is a need for people to help with the preparation, in a relaxed way, through the year, both for the craft activities and with administration, publicity and organisation. We also need both adults and teenagers to help during the week itself.

The club is a particular focus for the parish each year. If the event is something you would like to be a part of, either as part of the planning teams which meet during the year or to help during the week itself, or if you would just like to learn more about it, then please contact Fr David.
