New Life Project Initial Meeting

The New Life Project is set to breathe new life into our church building, release the energy of our community and resource St Martin's for the future.

More than 60 people were able to attend the initial meeting on Wednesday 16th March at which Fr Simon outlined the current situation regarding the church building and set out the aims of the project to replace the roof of each of the side aisles and to refresh the sound and lighting systems.

Much of the discussion on the evening was concerned with generating ideas for fundraising efforts and a fantastic number of interesting and creative ideas were put forward, which was a great start.

If you have any fundraising ideas then please speak to Fr Simon, the churchwardens or Ian Keys, who is coordinating the fundraising efforts.

A few photos from the evening can be found in the Photo Gallery.

Children's Pilgrimage to Walsingham

Some of our Primary age children joined over 200 others to have a weekend to remember in Walsingham.

Some were seasoned pilgrims, others took it as an opportunity to try being away from home and parents overnight for the first time.

The parents may have been worried, but by the time the bus joined the M25 it was fun for the children all the way!

Bouncy castles and slides, crafts, games, new experiences, delicious food (and plenty of it!), a disco, and beautiful liturgies in the incredible Shrine of Our Lady - what a weekend away!

More photos on the Children's Pilgrimage page.   Even more photos in the Photo Gallery.
