Bulletin & Noticeboard

Notices Sunday 5th April 2020 Palm Sunday

While the Covid-19 epidemic is active, public worship at St Martin’s Church is suspended, in common with the rest of the Church of England.  Please visit our website www.stmartins-ruislip.org where you can watch a pre-recorded Mass for this Sunday and other opportunities for prayer.

While we are unable to gather together in the church building, the Church’s life of prayer and faith will have to continue in our own homes.  In this way we share the experience of thousands of our brothers and sisters in Christ who worship and practise their faith under persecution.  Below, you will find the references for this Sunday’s scripture readings so that you can either gather together  at home with your family, or be alone and read the scriptures carefully and reflectively.  Keep a time of silence after each reading, then move on to a time of prayer and intercession using the  intentions below.  You might like to conclude with the Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary and the Grace.

This year as we enter Holy Week, separated physically but spiritually united through our Baptism into the Body of Christ, please check the website for daily reflections on the great events at the heart of our faith.

A Prayer as we enter Holy Week

True and humble king,

hailed by the crowd as Messiah:

grant us the faith to know you and love you,

that we may be found beside you

on the way of the cross,

which is the path of glory.
