We are writing to update you on the process for appointing a new Vicar for St Martin’s.
An advert for the vacancy appeared in The Church Times on 8th and 15th July. The PCC has approved the Parish Profile - a description of the parish, the church and our hopes for our new Vicar. This document will be provided to candidates for the post.
The closing date for applications is 23rd August and interviews of shortlisted applicants are due to take place on 20th September.
The PCC has appointed Chris White (a PCC member) as our second Parish Representative alongside Jacqueline, to sit with our Patron (the Dean and Canons of Windsor), the Bishop of Willesden and the Archdeacon of Northolt on the Appointment Panel.
The Parish Profile and advert are both available for download (click here).
Please remember that a selected candidate is likely to have to give three months’ notice in resigning from their present position. It is therefore unlikely that we will have a new Vicar in place until the early part of 2023.
We will, of course, update you further after the interviews have taken place. In the meantime, we
ask that you continue to pray for our Parish.
