Confirmation

Children and teenagers are prepared for Confirmation and First Communion from around 10 years of age and above if they demonstrate a desire for deeper involvement in the Church’s life and the Christian Faith and have the support of their parents.

Adults who have not been confirmed may find themselves wishing to make a commitment to Christ and to the life of the Church.  For these adults the adult Confirmation Group follows a journey of preparation for Confirmation and First Communion.

In order to be confirmed it is a requirement that you are firstly baptised.  Any adults wishing to be confirmed but who have not yet been baptised need not be concerned as Baptism will be administered as part of the preparation for Confirmation and First Communion.

The clergy will be happy to discuss ways in which you can deepen your level of commitment and involvement and any practical issues concerning the sacrament of Confirmation.

If you would like to discuss Confirmation please speak to a member of the clergy or contact us via the Parish Office.
