Outlookers

Outlookers organise social events to raise money for worthy charities, both at home and abroad. Each year we adopt two charities to benefit from the funds that we raise. In 2018-2019 these charities are Tariro - who work with young people in Zimbabwe, mainly in providing good education - and The Acorn Club in Eastcote - providing a social life of both older and younger children with special needs. We were able to raise £1,500 for each of these charities.

The events are open to everyone - men and women, from any denomination or from none. It is a way of people getting together and meeting old friends and making new ones.

Events include the popular ‘Vintage Afternoon Tea’, which is usually held in January and a Charity Lunch held in May.

The Charity Lunch is attended by representatives from the two adopted charities, who speak about the work of their charities and are presented with the money we have raised during the year.

Outlookers is run by a small team of ladies, and we welcome suggestions of places to visit, events that we might organise, and also charities that we might adopt for the next year.

We wouldn’t be successful without your support, and the team looks forward to your continued support. Events are always well publicised beforehand so do keep a look out for our next event.
