St Martin's parish is a very balanced community, which closely reflects the demographics of the wider community. In particular there is a focus on the encouragement of faith and fellowship in men.

 

Each year, for many years, there has been a very successful Men's Pilgrimage to Walsingham – something really quite unusual across the church as a whole – and those who have participated in this have often been deeply affected by the experience of a mix of prayerful spirituality and joyful fellowship in the peaceful and holy environment of the Shrine of Our Lady.
