The Hillingdon Foodbank is experiencing a significant increase in demand as some familes and individuals are hid particularly hard by the economic downturn.
Children from the most disadvantaged households often depend on school meals to supplement the food they receive at home. The on-going closure of schools is therefore further stoking requests for emergency food packages.
In order to maintain our stocks, we need your food donations now more than ever.
While St Martin's church was closed, the Foodbank collection bins were relocated to the Sainsbury's Local store in Ruislip High Street.
Now that St Martin's is open again, the Foodbank collection bins are back in church.
We are particularly in need of tinned meat, tinned fish, sugar, jam, long-life milk and long-life fruit juice. Carrier bags are also in short supply.
